Student

Welcome to Asbury United Methodist Youth Ministries! Our youth group is open to all 6th through 12th grade students looking for a welcoming group of young people & adults to help support and encourage their faith journey! Whether this is your first youth group or you are a lifelong attender, there is a place for you here for fun, fellowship, and faith formation!

We are also always looking for volunteers to join what God is doing in the lives of our students. If you’re looking to get involved with a dynamic group of Middle High and Senior High students, we’re looking for you! We need people who care passionately about others and their growth in Christ, please contact Kelly Blome, Youth Director, by email or call (501)225-9231.

Join us as we meet together, in small group settings, as well as through worship and bigger group gatherings, as we learn more about God, and how He is calling us to live out His love for us, as well as for the world!

Trips & District and Conference Involvement

One of the greatest components of the United Methodist Church is the connection shared among one another—within in the home church, our Central Arkansas District, and our Arkansas Conference. Asbury UMC Youth Group is involved with both District level and Conference level leadership allowing our youth opportunities to be empowered through decision making, planning, and leading experiences. Our youth also have the opportunity to attend several trips each year to gather for worship, small groups, fun, service, and fellowship with other youth including:

Refuge (6th-8th grade)
Veritas (7th-12th grade)
Asbury Retreats
Ozark Mission Project (7th-12th grade)
ARUMC Central District Unite Events
Collaborative Events with other Youth Groups

Service & Mission:

Asbury UMC provides many opportunities to serve our local community as well as those outside of our neighborhoods. Our youth are very involved in mission and service opportunities such as Stone Soup, Ozark Mission Project, Hunger Relief Army Meal Packing, Asbury UMC Food and Diaper Pantry, Canvas Community Meals.

Safe Gatherings Certification

All of our adult staff and volunteers are required to be Safe Gatherings certified to work with our youth, children, and vulnerable adults. Safe Gatherings is a screening and training program that we participate in with the Arkansas United Methodist Church. It helps ensure that we are equipping our leaders to provide safe environments for everyone.
